Oil coolers series МОВ

Oil cooler МОВ are meant for cooling turbine oil in oil supply systems for turbo and hydro generators, cooling oil lubrication systems for bearings of turbines.The operation of the oil cooler is based on the transfer of heat through the walls of the heat exchange tubes from the heat-dissipating medium (oil) to the heat-receiving medium (water).

Horizontal shell-and-tube heat exchanger:

  • housing is made of high-quality carbon steel or in a special version of stainless alloys.
  • pipe system — the profiled pipe of LDPE, the flow rate of the liquid is up to 10 times higher than in a smooth pipe.
  • water chambers —  The upper water chamber has a removable cover, which makes it possible to inspect and clean the oil cooler tubes without damaging of the sealing. On the cover there is an air outlet. On the lower water chamber there are hatches for cleaning and inspection of the chamber and a connection for draining water from the water cavity of the oil cooler.

Oil coolers MOB differ in cooling capacity, and the layout of the inputs and outputs of oil and water varies depending on the model.

Note:
Runoff – total content of ammonia, hydrogen sulfides, nitrites etc.
Suspensions – fractions of mineral and organic origin (mechanical impurities).
For water МВ2, МВ3, МВ4, МВ5 – content of chlorides has not to be more than 2000 mg/l regardless of the total salt content.

Climatic versions and category of placing:

УХЛ - for macroclimate areas with moderate and frigid climate.
Т - for all macroclimate areas overland, except the macroclimate area with very frigid climate (general climatic version).
- for use in spaces (contents) with artificial regulation of climatic conditions (in enclosed heated or cooled spaces).
